The Eastside Rooms will continue to represent Birmingham’s globally recognised events scene this week as it majors at The Meetings Show, one of the primary exhibitions for the global meetings and conference industry.
The venue will once again be telling Birmingham’s story, with all eyes turning towards the city in the run up to the Commonwealth Games next month. The Eastside Rooms will be representing the best of Birmingham venues, exhibiting alongside the city’s convention bureau, the West Midlands Growth Company.
However, the venue will also be contributing to critical discussion at the show, with its HR Manager Becky D’Costa sitting on a panel addressing mental health. The session is of specific important to the global events industry following the pandemic, which left many businesses on the edge of folding. Becky will be lending her experience of working with people and employees to build strong teams in the wake of the tragedy.
The exhibition itself will see thousands of professional meeting, conference, and event organisers congregate from around the world at ExCeL London for the two-day event. The event is one of the key industry exhibitions and is a live and exciting marketplace where organisers can find theming, production, and creative agencies, as well as venues, for their events.
“We’ve been really active recently in the global marketplace with so many people talking about Birmingham,” commented Leanne Bladen, Director of Sales & Marketing, The Eastside Rooms. “We went to Frankfurt last month for a global exhibition where we represented the UK as well as Birmingham and had a lot of interest at what is happening here in the east side. The Meetings Show is just another chance for us to showcase our venue and bring in more events and delegates into the city at an incredibly exciting time.”
