Welcoming Our New Head Chef and Business Development Executive

At The Eastside Rooms, we’re all about creating exceptional experiences – whether it’s a conference, a corporate event, or simply enjoying a meal. And to help us with that we’ve appointed two additions to our already fantastic team: Adam Middleton as Head Chef and Jordan Cleary-Darrington as Business Development Executive.

The number of UK job vacancies may have fallen, but The Eastside Rooms is lucky enough to have had some big wins recently. As a result, we’re excited to say we’re expanding our teams. Fresh faces mean fresh ideas and exciting opportunities for the future of our venue and we can’t wait!

Adam Middleton | Culinary Visionary

Chef Adam

Bringing with him over 15 years’ experience in some of the country’s top venues (from Marriott Hotels to high-profile conference centres and even law firms), Adam’s passion for modern cuisine is already shaping the future of our dining offerings. Here’s what he had to say:

“This new role is an exciting challenge for me and I’m looking forward to putting my mark on things. My menus are designed to be modern and in line with current food trends – think fork-friendly dishes that make networking a breeze while still delivering on taste and presentation. I believe food should look as good as it tastes, so vibrant salad bars and eye-catching buffets will be a big focus!”

Under Adam’s leadership, we’re confident that our culinary offerings will reach new heights. We know that with Adam at the helm, our venue will continue to build its reputation as the top choice for corporate and association events.

Adam’s appointment also means a well-deserved promotion for our former Head Chef, Tony Harris, who now steps into the role of Executive Head Chef. Tony will oversee all catering across The Eastside Rooms and our sister hotel, The Aloft.

Jordan Cleary-Darrington | Commercial Growth Guru

Jordan, our new Business Development Executive, has a dynamic background spanning both hospitality and security at some of Birmingham’s most popular venues. She brings a fresh perspective and contagious enthusiasm to the team. She told us: “No two days have been the same so far and I’m loving every minute of it!”

Jordan’s hands-on experience and industry insight make her a perfect fit for the fast-paced environment at The Eastside Rooms. Her role will see her driving new business to help us connect with even more clients in Birmingham and beyond.
