The Role

As┬áMarketing Executive you will drive awareness of the hotel, its food and beverage offerings, the conference venue and the overall brand image, internally and externally in conjunction with the Director of Sales and Marketing. In this role you will support the development of an annual Marketing and PR plan and ensure implementation of marketing activities across the hotel, outlets and the venue. You will be passionate about creating engaging content and campaigns across all owned channels including websites, social media and email marketing, and will complete other marketing projects as directed by the Director of Sales and Marketing. The role supports media-relations, partnerships, events and activities to bolster the property’s reputation and image.

Key Responsibilities will be to:

  • Support the production of marketing campaigns, collateral, email marketing and ad hoc projects
  • Work closely with the sales team in creation of the sales and marketing plan that accurately interprets the objectives of the business and maps out the actions and strategies required within the marketplace to support the positioning of the property. Use this to focus own and team efforts across all market segments.
  • Develop and deliver online and offline marketing campaigns and communications for the Aloft and the eastside rooms to drive awareness, footfall and ultimately support revenue targets.
  • Manage all social media platforms with regular postings and updated and exciting content to drive engagement.
  • Write engaging, grammatically correct copy for press releases and online sites.
  • Monthly Social Media reporting and analysis.
  • Monthly PR and Marketing reporting and analysis.
  • Ensure that all activities comply with GDPR, Marriott & IHR operating policies, purchase orders, processes and systems.
  • Act as a brand ambassador for the Aloft Hotel and the Eastside Rooms and ensure that all Marketing activities adhere to brand standards and brand voice.
  • Manage all website platforms across the three sites updating with new offers and promotional activity in line with the marketing plan.
  • Work with the management team to continuously align and devise strategies and tactics to retain and grow the business and support revenue maximisation.
  • Manage relationships with local attractions and venues to maximize opportunities for joint working. Identify and target local leisure attractions and other venues to develop mutually beneficial affiliations and partnerships.
  • Ensuring that company policies & procedures are applied and that the company’s core values are maintained.
  • Review and manage the sales and marketing budget/P&L and allocated expenditure to ensure most effective use of funds available.
  • Work with Interstates Central Marketing team to plan and execute the content and delivery of all required hotel marketing collateral to the agreed brand standard.
  • Work with Interstates Central Sales, Marketing and Revenue teams to plan and execute appropriate Marketing campaigns, including direct mail, advertising, PR opportunities. mobile and web opportunities.
  • Support the Interstates Central Marketing team to ensure effective data capture and database management processes and systems are in place for the site.

The Person

  • Marketing qualification and 2+ years experience in a similar role.
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent with knowledge of the marketing mix including websites and SEO, email marketing, social media, print/collateral management and PR
  • Experience of Google Ad words, social media advertising, Canva and WordPress
  • Proficient in the use of Adobe Suite
  • Great organisational, communication and planning skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to influence and engage effectively at all levels.
  • Commercially well informed, driven and determined to achieve results.
  • Strong creative skills, with an eye for design, ability to generate ideas and write effective online copy.
  • Flexible, adaptable and able to respond and thrive within a constantly changing and growing organisation.
