The Role

As Kitchen Porter you will be required to assist in the smooth running of both the kitchen and restaurant by ensuring crockery, cutlery and kitchen equipment is clean and available when needed. Directly reporting into the Head Chef, you will be passionate about supporting the kitchen brigade to consistently meet the expected standards and remain motivated and satisfied.

The Person

  • Previous experience within a similar kitchen environment.
  • Ability to multi-task, work under pressure and prioritise needs.
  • Ensure high standards for Food Safety are adhered to throughout the site.
  • Able to work a variety of shift patterns including breakfasts, evenings and weekends as required.
  • A variety of contracted hours are offered for this role

Key Responsibilities will be to:

  • Clean the kitchen areas and store deliveries away paying attention to Health & Hygiene legislative requirements.
  • Operate and clean equipment correctly and safely adhering to cleaning and maintenance schedules.
  • Ensure work areas are kept clean, safe and tidy at all times, including canteen hot and cold units.
  • Control the security of company’s stock and property.
  • Adhere to all regulations in respect of Health and Safety, hygiene, guest safety, fire. regulations, emergency procedures and COSHH regulations etc.
  • Help the smooth running of both the kitchen and restaurant by ensuring crockery, cutlery and kitchen equipment is clean and available when needed.
  • Adhere to all regulations in respect of hotel policies and standards, i.e. mandates and food standards.
  • Comply with any reasonable request by the Head Chef, supervisor or management.
  • Attend and complete all training scheduled by the Hotel and/or your Head Chef.
