The Role

This role requires a motivational Supervisor to support the Conference and Events Operations Team, ensuring standards and service are delivered consistently during all Conferences and Events.

The Person

  • Experience within Conference and Events Operations in a Supervisory Role
  • Previous experience of working in a high volume events operation, with a proven track record of delivering results.
  • A strong, ambitious individual, looking for a challenge, driven by 100% customer satisfaction.
  • Operational experience in a variety of concepts including banqueting, events and conferences.
  • Commercially driven to help achieve targets and budgets.
  • Exemplary Communication Skills.

Key Responsibilities will be to:

  • Supervise the successful running and hosting of conferences and events, ranging from weddings and awards dinners through to boardroom meetings and large scale conferences.
  • Supervise the Conference and Events team when on shift and deal with any staff issues/requests in the absence of the C&E Operations Manager and C&E Manager.
  • Act as point of contact for Event Organiser on day of event
  • Ensure you and your team deliver exceptional service and hospitality throughout the business.
  • Responsible for managing all Meetings and Events floor operations to deliver exceptional service and hospitality throughout the business.
  • Co-ordinate and liaise between departments to ensure the smooth running of an event, whilst ensuring professionalism and an excellent service is always provided.
  • Implement and maintain an effective process of communication and briefings to ensure all teams are focused and up to date with current issues, requirements, menus and objectives.
  • Ensure that insurance, legal, health and safety obligations are followed
  • Oversee the dismantling and removal of the event and clear the venue efficiently
