The Role

As Chef de Partie, you will Assist the Head Chef and Sous Chef with the running of the Hotel and Venue kitchen by supervising areas of the kitchen in their absence when on duty and being responsible for allocated food production.

 The Person

  • Previous experience within a hotel kitchen.
  • Ability to multi-task, work under pressure and prioritise needs.
  • Ability to effectively coach, support, and mentor a winning team.
  • Ensure high standards for Food Safety are adhered to throughout the site.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Great organisational skills.

Key Responsibilities will be to:

  • Ensure your knowledge of hotel products and services is up to date.
  • Produce food which is of good quality, taste and appearance, served at the correct temperature and which accurately meets customers’ needs, particularly in regard to dietary requirements and allergens.
  • Prepare kitchen equipment for use and maintain clean working areas
  • Ensure all legal and statutory regulations and responsibilities are met to maintain a safe working environment for yourself, your colleagues, and our guests.
  • Ensure you deliver in all aspects of Hygiene and Health and Safety as required by the company.
  • Provide cover for the Breakfast Chef during holidays or sickness.
  • Assist, supervise and develop the Commis Chef’s, using your skill set to help develop the junior members of the team.
  • Provides direction to the kitchen brigade, including commis chef & kitchen porters during shifts and through shift briefings.
  • Ensure COSHH and HACCAP (Food Safety) guidelines are achieved and maintained throughout your shifts.
  • Help with smooth operation of the busy kitchen operating with emphasis on quality and presentation within the guidelines of standardised menus.
  • Ensuring that company policies & procedures are adhered to and that the company’s core values are maintained.
  • Undertake relevant training as required for your job role.
  • Handle complaints/issues promptly and professionally, demonstrating genuine care and concern
