As Breakfast Chef you will oversee the smooth running of the kitchen during busy breakfast service. Directly reporting into the Head Chef, you will be passionate about assisting in the development the kitchen brigade to consistently meet the expected standards and remain motivated and satisfied.

The Person

  • Previous experience within a similar kitchen environment.
  • Ability to multi-task, work under pressure and prioritise needs.
  • Ensure high standards for Food Safety are adhered to throughout the site.
  • Excellent attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities will be to:

  • Exercise proper control of company stock and property and ensure correct and safe storage of food stuffs, including effective date labelling.
  • Ensure you deliver in all aspects of Hygiene and Health and Safety, working within the company Food Safety guidelines at all times.
  • See in and store early morning deliveries, checking temperatures and matching delivery notes.
  • Prepare mis-en-place for all relevant menus.
  • Supervise Commis chefs and Kitchen Porters when on duty and assist in the training of the Commis Chefs.
  • Prepare, cook and present food to hotel brand standards as advised by senior chefs.
  • Ensure correct portion control as instructed by Head Chef.
  • Operate and clean equipment correctly and safely adhering to cleaning and maintenance schedules.
  • Control the security of company’s stock and property.
  • Adhere to all regulations in respect of venue policies and standards, i.e. mandates and food standards.
  • Ensure COSHH and HACCAP (Food Safety) guidelines are achieved and maintained throughout your shifts.
  • Attend and complete all training scheduled by the Hotel and/or your Head Chef.
