Birmingham is a hotbed of culture that’s rich and diverse. Bursting with a variety of new places to eat, shop, drink and reset, it also has a colourful and eclectic calendar of festivals and events.
After a long day organising and hosting an event you can take a couple of hours to wind down, relax and experience what Eastside and Birmingham have to offer. Taking some much needed (and deserved) time out will give you and your brain time to refresh, take stock and figure out the solutions to any problems you’ve encountered throughout the day. Technology is great at reducing a large proportion of the work associated with event planning. At the eastside rooms our spaces have access to state of the art tech and AV equipment. You also have the added support and expertise of our onsite events team.
We have space
Larger convention centres are always surrounded by a wealth of accommodation options and the eastside rooms is no exception. We have the perfect place for you and your team to decompress and recharge after a long day. Located next door is the Aloft Hotel, with 195 bedrooms, a cocktail bar and restaurant, it’s a great location for rest and relaxation.
We also have spaces in the venue that can serve many roles, from storage, cloakrooms and areas where you can just relax, camp out and feel at home before and during the snippets of downtime during an event.
No one works well on an empty stomach
At eastside we provide a range of catering options. Our Executive Head chef Stephen can prepare you something nourishing and fresh, from plant based to well balanced energy boosting dishes. Aside from the standard refreshment breaks and coffee facilities we have put together some exciting menu options to keep your delegates fueled throughout the day.

You and your team can take in some fresh air
Eastside is home to Eastside City Park, Birmingham’s first new city centre park in 160 years. A 6.75 acre urban park, it has over 14,000 square metres of landscaped green space, hundreds of trees, a large canal water feature and a public square with jet fountains. It’s the perfect place for you and your team to wind down after a day working with clients and event attendees.
A change of scenery will help you reset and clear your head – simply spending time around nature will help concentration as well as your mental wellbeing. Recent research has also shown that just 15 minutes in the sunshine can have incredible benefits on a person’s mood and mental health. Sunshine can provide a natural influx of vitamin D, which can contribute to a better night’s sleep and ensure that you and your team are well rested and ready for the next day.
You’re well connected
Where you choose to hold your event is often one of the biggest draws for potential attendees. If people can’t get to your event, then what’s the point? The closer your venue is to any major transportation links such as airports and train stations – the better.
the eastside rooms has amazing transportation links. Located in the heart of Birmingham’s Eastside with a major national motorway network on our doorstep, we are well connected to the rest of the UK. We are also a short walk away from both Birmingham Moor Street and Birmingham New Street train stations, where most major cities can be directly reached, and are close to the new HS2 Curzon Street station. For international visitors, Birmingham airport is only 10 miles away, with direct train links into the city centre.
If your event is hard to get to, there will be plenty of others that aren’t. Opting for a well located and accessible venue will mean that you don’t have to worry about your attendees getting lost, or, in the worst case scenario choosing an alternative event, that although not as good as yours, is easier to get to.

Our interactive floor plans and virtual flythrough means you can take a look around and walk through the venue in the comfort of your own office. You can take time to determine the scale and size of our venue and decide what spaces will work best for you and your event.
The perk of a purpose built venue is exactly that, it’s purpose built. At the eastside rooms, we have the infrastructure to turn your event vision into reality.
The variety of our spaces means that your event can have the flexibility to breakout into smaller more interactive sessions and allow you to incorporate a range of different activities into your agenda. Each floor features an extensive breakout area with top of the range bean to cup coffee machines to give you that added pick me up. For attendee registration, breakout sessions or workshops we have a number of flexible spaces and 14 meeting rooms.
We’re also a pillar free venue, so you don’t have to worry about attendees missing any of the action due to compromised visibility.
You’re completely supported
We have a dedicated events team who can provide anything and everything you need. We provide you with a single point of contact for all your events needs – that means you only have to contact one person to find the answers to any questions and issues that need resolving.
