How does the eastside rooms differ from other venues and why will this be good for delegates/event organisers?
It’s brand new! Plus the eastside rooms has been purposely built to offer flexibility for all types of events. We have made sure there’s that break-out space is just as meeting space which means that delegates and organisers have the plenty of room to create exceptional meetings and events!
What attracted you to the role at the eastside rooms?
The fantastic opportunity to be involved with the design, commercial positioning and operation of a brand new venue and the chance to build and grow a team
What is the favourite part of your role?
The autonomy that managing all functions of a hospitality business, although with this power comes great responsibility!
How did you get into the hospitality industry?
I started washing up and polishing the silver in a family owned small hotel at the age of 13!
If you had your own talk show, who would be your first three guests?
Richard Branson, Lee Mack & Elon Musk.
If you could live in any TV show, which one would it be?
As a bit of a self-confessed petrol head it would have to be something like Top Gear as I like adventure and all forms of transport!
If you can instantly become an expert in something what would it be?
Golf – always fancied playing – just never found the time! Perhaps an aim for retirement!
If you could eliminate one thing from your daily routine what would it be and why?
I wouldn’t eliminate it but it would be good to reduce the level of email communication! Sadly, I’m old enough to remember working in hotels before the advent of this fantastic technology.
